The way we listen is changing and our hearing process truly connects us to the soundscape of our surrounding environment. Our hearing system provides us with an amazing ability to identify and comprehend the most minuscule acoustic cues. Our brains are capable of storing the neural equivalents of acoustic patterns in several sounds we aren’t exposed to and that of environmental sounds. There are many forms of listening that challenge our attention. Through our process we design lessons to bring you back to listening and focused on increasing your awareness to your active listening, empathetic listening and critical listening.

We produce sound and conduct interviews to connect with the sonic and lived experience of Black creatives, artists, and scholars. Through their stories, with the combination of our methods to improve your listening.

On our platform we control all of your audio features and determine how loud your listening can get depending on your device. This allows you to be aware, open, and receiving in any moment you can consciously identify as now; also being attentive to what’s being given and what’s being received in any given moment. Understanding how listening works provides the foundation we need to explore how we can better connect to new information. Our process is driven by science and our methodology embraces research, collaborations and imagination. We want to echo beyond distilled conversations, problems, debates and questions, to reverberate across music, disciplines and internal dialogues. Developing a lesson through the combination of three audio experiences using Embodied Music Cognition Theory and Critical Race Theory as one audio experience.
